Steak Diana with Curried Pears

Ingredients

  • 2 tbs. butter or margarine
  • 2 6oz. cube steaks
  • 2 tbs. sweet sherry
  • 3 tbs. chopped green onions
  • 1 tbs. chopped parsley
  • 2 oz. can of mushrooms, drained
  • 1 tbs. Worcestershire Sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 fresh pear
  • 1/4 cup of crushed pineapple
  • 1 tbs. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. curry powder

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter or margarine in a heavy skillet, add steaks and saute quickly on both sides until brown. Add remaining ingredients and heat through. Serve sauce over the meat.

Curried Peaars: Cut pear in half and remove core. Mix pineapple, brown sugar, and curry powker together. Fill pear cavities with mixture and broil about 4 inches from the heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until pear is tender.

Recipe can be doubled for 4 servings.
