Ingredients
- 2 1/2 2 1/2 1 cups of dry pinto beans (about 1 lb.)
- 3 3 3 quarts water
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 2Tbsp. 2Tbsp. oilive
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup water
- to to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Cook the beans either in a pot or pressure cooker.
In a large frying pan, cook the onions in the oil until transclucent, add beans. Using a potato masher, mash the beans in the pan, while your are cooking them, until they are a rough puree. Add more water if necssary to keep the beans from getting dried out. Add salt to taste.
