Ingredients
- Bring to boil:
- 3/4 ice cream pail of fish
- 4 cups water
- 3/4 cup salt
- Soak above for 48 hours - drain but don't rinse
- Add 4 cups vinegar -
- Soak 24 hours - drain but don't rinse
- 3 3/4 cup sugar
- 4 cups vinegar
- 1/4 cup pickling spice
- 1 onion
- Let sit for 1 - 2 weeks
