NESTLE' OATMEAL SCOTCHIE PAN COOKIE

  • 2 cups unsifted flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon water
  • 1 1/2 cups quick oats, uncooked
  • 1 (12 oz.) package Nestle' butterscotch flavored morsels
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange extract

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, eggs and water; beat until creamy. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in oats, butterscotch morsels, and orange extract. Spread into greased 15" X 10" X 1" baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool completely. Cut into squares.

Variation: Substitute 1 cup unsifted whole wheat flour for 1 of the 2 cups unsifted flour.
