Ingredients
- (Optional: 1/2 lb. salt pork, cut in slices. Fry in kettle reserving 2 Tbsp. of fat)
- 1 1/2 lbs. hamburg (if not making meatballs)
- 2 lrg cans whole tomatoes, chopped w/ juice
- 3 small cans tomato paste plus 2 cans water
- 1 med. size can tomato sauce
- 2 lrg onions, chopped
- 1 lrg green pepper, chopped
- 1/8 tsp dried red pepper flakes
- 1/8 tsp oregano
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 lrg bay leaf
- salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation
Step 1
If not making meat balls you may add the 1 1/2 lbs hamburg; brown until no longer pink.
Add all ingredients together in cook pot. Bring to slow boil. Simmer till done.
