pkg (8 squares) semi-sweet baking chocolate
t peppermint extract
sleeve butter crackers (such as Ritz)
In a small saucepan on very low heat, melt chocolate with the shortening, stirring frequently. Stir in peppermint extract. Dip each cracker in melted chocolate, covering both sides. Lay cracker on the fork tines for easy dipping and dripping. Place on wax paper until chocolate hardens. Put in refrigerator or freezer to set.
