Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour, divided
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter, softened
- 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly spray pan cavities with vegetable pan spray
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, salt, cloves and nutmeg; set aside.
In a large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until well blended. Beat in egg and mix well. Beat in molasses and vanilla; mix well.
Add the flour mixture and beat until well blended.
Press dough into cavities, filling 2/3 full. Bake 9-10 minutes, or until light brown around edges. Cool in pan for 5 minutes. Turn pan over and lightly tap to remove cookies. Cool completely on cooling grid.
