Ingredients
- 3 cups diced rhubarb
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Put rhubarb in botton of 7 1/2 x 12 inch pan. Cover with sugar and dot with bits of butter.
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

Step 1
Cream shortening and sugar, add egg and beat. Mix flour and baking powder together. Add to shortening mixture alternately with milk. Pour over rhubarb and bake 50-60-minutes in 350 degee oven.
