Ingredients

  • 3 cups diced rhubarb
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Put rhubarb in botton of 7 1/2 x 12 inch pan. Cover with sugar and dot with bits of butter.
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugar, add egg and beat. Mix flour and baking powder together. Add to shortening mixture alternately with milk. Pour over rhubarb and bake 50-60-minutes in 350 degee oven.
