Ingredients
- 2-3 Tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup onion, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 6-8 littleneck clams
- 1 cup clam juice
- 2 cups canned, peeled tomatoes
- 8 large scallops
- 8 mussels
- 8 large shrimp
- 1 1/2 cups fresh calamari, cut into bite sized pieces
- 1 pound pasta of your choice
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
In a large pot of boiling water add the pasta and cook according to package instructions. Meanwhile, in a large saute pan over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Add the garlic, onion, oregano, red pepper flakes and littlenecks. Add the clam juice and the tomatoes. Simmer until the littlenecks open. Remove any that do not open. Add the mussels, scallops and shrimp and cook for 2 minutes. Add the calamari and cook for 1 minute more. Drain the pasta and place it on a large serving plate. top the pasta with the seafood sauce and serve immediately.
