Polvorones

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1/8 t. salt
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup margarine or butter
  • additional powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Combine flour, salt, and pecans. Stir the two mixtures together. Make 1” balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 325 degrees. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. After cool, roll in sugar again.
