Wimp's Fresh Salsa*

This is a JoAnna Lund recipe I changed to suit my taste.

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups peeled and finely-chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup finely-chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely-chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup finely-chopped green bell pepper
  • small amount of finely-minced hot pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Morton's Nature's Seasoning blend
  • 1 Tablespoon Splenda sugar substitute
  • 1 teaspoon chili seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl combine tomatoes, onion, celery, and green and hot peppers. In a small bowl mix vinegar, seasoning blend, sugar, chili and pepper. Pour liquid mixture over vegetables. Mix well, cover and refrigerate for
several hours or overnight.
