Ingredients
- 2 cups persimmon pulp
- 2 teaspoons soda
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon mace
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup black walnuts
- 1 cup raisins or dates

Preparation
Step 1
Mix soda and pulp. Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs, beat well. Stir flour with salt and spices. Add alternately with pulp to creamed mixture. Add vanilla, nuts, and raisins. Mix well.
Pour into greased tube or loaf pans, bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
