Ingredients
- 2 T. butter
- 5 T. wheat germ
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 T. honey
- 3/4 cup fat-free cholosterol-free egg product or 6 egg whites
- 12 slices French bread, each 1-inch thick
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 450. Melt butter in jelly roll pan, 15-1/2 x 10-1/2 x 1-inch, in oven; spread evenly in pan. Sprinkle 3 T. of the wheat germ evenly over butter.
Beat orange juice, honey and egg product with hand beater until foamy. Soak each side of bread in egg mixture for 5 minutes. Drizzle any remaining egg mixture oveer bread. Sprinkle with remaining 2 T. wheat germ.
Bake about 10 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown; turn. Bake 6 to 8 minutes longer or until bottoms are golden brown.
