Ingredients
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2-3 thai chilis, stemmed and very thinly sliced
- 1 lb flank steak, very thinly sliced
- 3 medium shallots, thinly sliced
- 1 red pepper, cut into 1/8" thick slices
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chili paste
- 1 1/2 c chopped fresh thai basil leaves
- 1 c whole fresh mint leaves
- White rice for serving

Step 1
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium high heat. Add the garlic and chiles and cook until aromatic, about 30 seconds. Add teh steak and cook, stirring frequently, 2 mins. Add the shallots and bell pepper and cook 1 min. Add the soy sauces and chile paste. Bring the mixture to a low simmer and cook, stirring frequently, until the meat is cooked through and vegetables are tender, about 3 mins.
Remove skillet from heat and stir in basil and mint until wilted. Serve over rice.
