Calgary Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • boneless pot roast (3-3 1/2 lb)
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c chopped onion
  • 7 1/2 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Trim fat from roast
Rub all over with mustard and salt
Place in a lightly greased pan
Mix tomato sauce,vinegar,thyme and pepper
Pour over the roast
Cover tightly
Bake in oven at 325 F for 3 hours or until meat is tender
