Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons salad oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 (4 lb.) beef brisket
Preparation
Step 1
In a 2 quart saucepan over medium heat, in hot salad oil, cook onion until tender. Add chili sauce and next 6 ingredients. Bring to boiling, remove pan from heat. Place beef brisket in 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Pour sauce over brisket. Cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 3 hours or until tender. Slice thin.
