Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 C sugar
- 1 T water
- 1 T light Karo syrup
- 1 C blanched slivered almonds
- 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
On medium heat, melt the butter and then add sugar, water, and syrup, stirring constantly for ten minutes or more until the mixture turns butterscotch in color. Add the almonds and pour onto a cookie sheet. Spread mixture out on sheet. Top with chocolate chips and spread out as melting occurs. Let cool completely. Break into pieces.
