Ingredients
- 1 pound sliced asparagus (about 3 cups)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 3/4 tsp fresh thyme, divided
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 tsp flour
- 2 cups milk
- Dash nutmeg
- 2 tsp butter
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp grated lemon rind
Preparation
Step 1
Bring to boil in large saucepan. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 10 min. Discard bay leaf. Puree. Mix flour with a small amount of the 1st mixture. Blend and add to milk and nutmeg.
