Ingredients

  • For Burgers:

  • Nonstick cooking spray

  • 2

    pounds ground chicken or turkey

  • One

    1-ounce package fresh basil, finely chopped

  • 1

    tablespoon minced garlic (about 3 cloves)

  • 1/2

    teaspoon salt

  • 1/2

    teaspoons pepper

  • 1/2

    teaspoons white pepper

  • 1/3

    cup mayonnaise

  • Roasted Red Pepper Mayonnaise, recipe follows

  • 18

    buttered and toasted slider buns

  • Shredded lettuce

  • Roasted Red Pepper Mayonnaise:

  • 1/2

    cup mayonnaise

  • 1

    tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1

    teaspoon minced garlic

  • 1/3

    cup chopped roasted red peppers, drained well

  • Salt and pepper

Directions

Spray a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray over medium heat. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken turkey, basil, garlic, salt and peppers. Add the mayonnaise, stirring to combine. Shape the mixture into eight patties. When the skillet is hot, add the burgers in batches, and cook until done all the way through, 4 to 5 minutes per side. Spread desired amount of Roasted Red Pepper Mayonnaise onto the buns. Top the bottom halves of the buns with desired amount of greebs. Top each with 1 turkey burger. Cover with the top halves of the buns. Serve immediately. For Sauce: In a small processor, blend the mayonnaise, peppers, mustard and garlic. Add the salt and pepper. Cover and chill.
