Ingredients

  • 4-6 brats (I recommend the Old Heidelberg Bakery, 2210 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.)
  • 1 quart of Miller "High Life" or regular Bud
  • 1 cup water
  • 5 medium-size fresh garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1/2 small onion, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon whole-grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar

Step 1

Stir all the ingredients together, bring to a simmer and add the brats. Simmer for 20 minutes. Remove and flash on a hot grill until crisp and brown. Serve with coleslaw or sauerkraut.
