Hot and Spicy Meatballs

Ingredients

  • Meatballs:
  • Sauce: always mix first & let stand
  • 2 1/4 cups catsup
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 3/4 cup vinegar
  • 6 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tsp minced onions
  • 6 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp dry mustard
  • 9 drops tobasco sauce (Frank's)
  • 4 1/2 lb hamburg, 4 1/3 cups dry bread crumbs
  • 9 tbsp minced onions
  • 3 tsp horseradish
  • 18 drops tobasco sauce
  • 12 eggs (small or med)
  • 3 tsp pepper, 4 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix well and form into small balls. I bake them in the oven. Pour sauce over them after cooked.

FYI: I have never added salt to sauce or MB - I use large eggs - usually cut recipe in 1/2 unless cooking for a large group
