Ingredients
- 3 # ground chuck
- 1 cup Minute rice
- 1 lg can Contadina tomato puree
- Head of cabbage
- salt & pepper to taste
- water
Preparation
Step 1
Cut core out of cabbage head and drop cabbage into pot of boiling water, boil until able to remove leaves. Cook rice, then mix with ground chuck, salt,pepper and enough water to hold mixture together (approx 1/2 - 1 cup).
Line the bottom of 9x13 pan with some small cabbage leaves, place ground beef mixture in larger leaves and roll up. Put the rolls on top of the cabbage leaves in pan. Mix tomato puree with 1/2 can water and pour over rolls. Place any leftover cabbage on top, salt & pepper to taste.
Bake covered at 325 for 1 & 1/2 to 2 hrs.
