MAGNOLIA PIE

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 unbaked 9" pastry shell
  • Whipped cream

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first 3 ingredients, beat at medium speed with a mixer until blended. Add eggs, buttermilk, and flavorings. Beat at low speed until blended. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cook on wire rack. Garnish with whipped cream.
