Macaroni and Cheese Casserole

Really easy and unbelievably good! Many suggestions for additions and substitutions, so adapt to what you have.
Ingredients
- Additions:
- 2 cups (1 bag) shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp flour
- pinch of salt and pepper
- onion flakes to taste
- mustard powder (optional)
- garlic powder or fresh minced garlic (optional)
- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- bread crumbs (Panko, crushed crackers, homemade crumbs, some cereals all work well)
- kielbasa, ham chunks, hot dogs, broccoli, carrots, or anything else you can think of. Make sure any additions are pre-cooked.

Step 1
Sauce:
1. Make a blonde roux with the flour and butter.
2. Slowly add milk and other seasonings until roux is fully integrated. (use wisk)
3. Add cheese a handful at a time until all is melted in.
Noodles:
Follow box instructions, cook to somewhere between super al dente and al dente. Drain and rinse in cool water.
Casserole:
1. In a 2qt casserole dish, combine noodles and any additions together until evenly mixed.
2. Pour sauce over ingredients, stir to evenly distribute.
3. Cover with bread crumbs until there is no sauce or noodles showing.
4. Bake in 375 degree oven for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
Consume eagerly.
