El Presidente Cocktail

The El Presidente is a Cuban-born cocktail from the Dark Days of Prohibition when Americans traveled to Cuba with the primary reason being imbibing. It's one of my favorite uses for grenadine.

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 ounce Aged Rum
• 3/4 ounce Dry Vermouth
• 1/4 ounce Curacao
• 1/2 teaspoon Grenadine
• orange twist, as garnish

Preparation

Step 1

Pour all ingredients into a an ice filled cocktail mixer. Stir gently then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
