Beef Stroganoff (Virginia's)

Ingredients

  • 4 TBSP margarine
  • 2 lbs round steak, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 lg onion, sliced
  • dash of paprika
  • 2 cups beef bouillon
  • 4 oz can mushrooms

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onions in margarine in a large frying pan. Meanwhile, shake meat in a bag with flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Remove onions from pan and brown meat in the same pan. Add bouillon, onions, and flour left in bag. Cook, covered, on low heat for 2 hours, stirring frequently. Add Worcestershire sauce, mushrooms, and sour cream last. Heat through and serve over hot noodles or rice.
