Ingredients

  • Cream:
  • Pur 2 cups boiling water over 2 cups Kellogs All Bran; let stand.
  • 1 cup cooking oil
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • Add:
  • 1 quart buttermilk and the All Bran mixture
  • Sift and Add:
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp baking soda
  • Add:
  • 4 cups health bran or 3 cups health bran, and 1 cup wheat germ

Preparation

Step 1

Fold until moist, add rains or chopped dates or dried cranberries

Chill 24 hours
Fill muffing tins or cups 3/4 full
Optional: sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top of each muffin

Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes
