Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1/4 c. minced onions
- 1/2 c. chopped green peppers
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- mozzarella cheese
- 1 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. salad oil
- 1/3 c. milk
Preparation
Step 1
Filling:
Heat Oven to 400˚. In skillet, saute onion, green pepper and beef in salad oil until brown. Add tomato sauce, chili powder, ketchup, salt and pepper; turn into a 2-qt. casserole. Layer with mozzarella cheese. Cover meat with biscuit topping (directions below). Bake 25 minutes or until browned.
Biscuit Topping:
Sift flour, baking powder, salt together. Quickly stir in salad oil and milk. Turn dough onto floured board, roll to fit casserole.
