Ingredients
- Vanilla Cake Mix
- 2 eggs
- Nonstick vegetable spray
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups whole milk
- 14 oz. can evaporated whole milk
- Reddi-whip whipped cream
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make cake per package directions and bake in a 9 x 13 glass baking dish, sprayed with Pam. Bake for 35-40 minutes. Cool completely.
2. Combine whole, sweetened condensed and evaporated milks in medium mixing bowl.
3. Pierce entire top of cake with a fork. Pour the milk mixture over the whole cake, soaking it completely. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate half an hour or more.
4. Just before serving, top the cake with whipped cream. Served chilled with fresh berries and a swirl of dulce de leche (below).
Dulce de Leche: Pour a 14 oz. can of Sweetened condensed milk in a large microwave-safe bowl. Heat on medium, stirring every 2 minutes. Cook 16 to 24 minutes until its a dark caramel color, and thick. Let cool.
Also delicious with fruit or ice cream.
