Franks and Cheese in Buns

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (2 oz)
  • 6 frankfurters

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 400.Mix baking mix,water and mustard until soft dough forms;beat vigorously 30 seconds.Turn out onto surface well floured with baking mix.Gently roll in baking mix to coat;shape into ball.Knead 10 times.Roll doughh into rectange,12 x 6 inches.Cut into 6 rectaanges,4 x 3 inches.Place rectange in ungreased cookie sheet.Sprinkle cheese over rectange.Place 1 frankfurter lenthwise on half of 3-inch side of each rectangle;fold other half rectangle over frankfurter (do not seal edges).Bake until buns are light golden brown and frankfurters are hot,12 to 15 minutes.Serve with mustard,catsup and pickle relish if desired.
