Bean Bowl Salad - Julie

Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1/2 t. pepper
  • 1/2 t. garlic salt
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can green beans
  • 1 can wax beans
  • 1 can water chestnuts (sliced thin)
  • 1 small jar pimento (sliced thin)
  • 1 small red onion, sliced thin
  • 1/2 c. celery, chopped
  • 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Heat until dissolved: sugar, vinegar, oil, pepper and garlic salt.
drain and add: kidney beans, green beans, wax beans, water chestnuts, and pimento.
add: onion, celery and green pepper.
Marinate 24 hours in refrigerator.
Serve hot or cold.
Can add other beans if desired.
