Shrimp Grand Marnier

Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo, shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup King Arthur flour
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 12 large mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 bunch scallions, white parts only, chopped
  • 1 cup sherry
  • 2/3 cup Grand Marnier
  • 6 orange slices
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Dredge the shrimp in the flour to coat.

In a large, heavy skillet over medium heat,melt the butter. Add the mushrooms, scallions and shrimp. Saute until the vegetables begin to soften. Add the sherry and reduce to a simmer. Add the Grand Marnier, orange slices, salt and pepper. Remove the shrimp so they do not overcook.

Let the sauce reduce until it thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Add the shrimp and heat through.

Serve immediately with white rice.
