  • GLAZE:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 cups (16oz.) sour cream
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tblsp. Butter
  • 1 1/4 cups confectioners sugar
  • 3 tblsp. Milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Step 1

In bowl cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour into greased and floured 10” tube pan. Bake at 350* 60-65 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack.

For Glaze—in a saucepan melt chocolate chips and butter over low heat. Remove from heat, whisk in confectioners sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth. Working quickly –drizzle over cake
