Chocolate Mint Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup margarine, melted
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can (16oz) Hershey Syrup
  • 1 cup baking powder
  • ½ cup margarine
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tblsp milk
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup (6oz) chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Layer I:

Combine the first 6 ingredients together in large bowl. Mix until well blended. Pour into greased & floured 15 ½ x 10 ½ x 1” pan. Bake at 350 for 20 mins. Cool for 10 mins, then refrigerate for 20 mins.



Layer II:

Mix together in a bowl ½ cup margarine, powdered sugar, milk peppermint extract. Add a few drops of green food coloring until desired color is reached. Spread over the first layer and refrigerate 20 mins.



Layer III:

In a small pan melt the margarine and chocolate chips over low heat until melted. Spread over the 2nd layter and refrigerate until 5 mins before serving. Cut into desired size pieces.
