Ingredients

  • 12 oz lean ground beef sirloin
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic,minced
  • 1 1/2 c canned crushed tomatoes
  • 3 oz uncooked broad noodles,cooked according to package directions
  • 1 tsp oregano leaves
  • 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
  • 1/2 c shredded low-fat cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350
In a 3 quart saucepan cook beef,onion and garlic over medium heat,stirring with a wooden spoon to break up the meat, until cooked through,8-10 min
Remove from heat
Stir in tomatoes,noodles,oregano,salt and pepper
Spoon into 1 1/2 quart casserole
Sprinkle with cheese
Bake covered until heated through and cheese is melted,15-20 min
