Buns (tea scones)

Serve butter and jam
Bake at 450F for 15 min.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 4 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 T orange or lemon rind
  • 1/2 cup raisins or currants
  • 2 eggs
  • milk

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together. Cut in marg. to make a crumblike mixture. Stir in orange rind and raisins. Beat eggs in a one cup measuring cup. Fill the cup with milk. Stir lightly into dry mixture, to form a soft dough Roll out dough to 1/2" thickness.
Cut in rounds with a cutter.
Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
