Ingredients
- 3/4 unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 dark brown sugar
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg room temperature
- 2 t. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 2 t. cornstarch
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. salt
- 3/4 c. semi-sweet choc. chips
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 16 wrapped caramels- cut into 4 or 5 pieces each
- sea salt
Preparation
Step 1
Line baking sheet
In large bowl cream butter and sugars together on medium until light and fluffy and light in color. Mix in egg and vanilla. Mix in flout, cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Stir in choc. chips and pecans. Chill for 30 min.
Preheat oven to 350 deg.
Drop by 1 Tbsp balls of dough onto cookie sheet. Press a few slices of caramel onto cookies and sprinkle with sea salt. Bake 8-10 min. (no longer than 10 min.) Keep dough cold at all time.
