Phyllis's Egg Casserole

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups seasoned croutons (or unseasoned)
  • 1/2 lb cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 1 lb sausage, cooked, drained and crumbled
  • 4 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained.
  • Butter (to grease pan)

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs and milk together. In large greased casserole (9x13), layer bread crumbs, half of the cheese, meat and mushrooms. Pour egg mixture over all, and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or more.

Bake at 350 degrees 45 minutes (325 degrees for a glass dish).
