SPAGHETTI SAUCE

We love this sauce. It originally came from my mom, Nellie Meadows.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • 1 clove garlic (diced)
  • 1 large can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt & Pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In large pot:

Saute onion and garlic in vegetable oil
Add meat and brown.
Add tomatoes and tomato paste.
Add water to desired consistency.
Add oregano, salt and pepper.

Simmer on low for 1 1/2 hours.
Serve over cooked spaghetti.
Top with grated cheese.
