Peanut Butter Cookies

Kitty's mother's recipe. I remember having these cookies as a youngster. I went to school with Kitty.

Ingredients

• 1/2 Cup Crisco
• 1/2 Cup white sugar
• 1/2 Cup brown sugar
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1 1/4 cups flour
• 1/2 tsp. soda

Preparation

Step 1

Blend together Crisco, sugars, salt and egg. Add peanut butter. Stir inn flour sifted with soda.

Form the dough into balls the size of a small walnut, and place on flat pan or "criscoed" cookie sheet. Press down with fork in one direction, then again at right angle to form a cross. Bake (375 degree)10 minutes.
