  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

Step 1

Place chocolate chips in a large mixing bowl. Set aside. Pour cream into a small, heavy bottomed saucepan and place over medium heat. Heat until cream begins to form small bubbles around the edge. Pour hot cream over chocolate chips and allow mixture to stand for 1 minute. Stir until chocolate has melted and mixture is smooth. Dip tops of cupcakes into topping and allow excess liquid to drip off. Refrigerate icing dipped cupcakes for 15 minutes or until icing becomes solid. Cupcake tops can then be dipped a second time for thicker topping
