Ingredients
- 1 lb smoked sausage, cut in pieces
- 3 15 oz cans black beans, drained
- 1 1/2 c chopped onion
- 1 1/2 c chopped green bell pepper
- 1 1/2 c chopped celery
- 2 tsp crushed garlic
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 5 bay leaves
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 c water

Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 6 hours. Remove bay leaves. Serve over rice.
If freezing: cool to room temperature and then freeze.
