  • FROSTING:
  • 2 pkg Active Dry Yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water 105 degrees
  • 1 1/2 cup lukewarm milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 8 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Confection sugar
  • water
  • egg white
  • Little candied fruit

Preparation

Step 1

1.) Sprinkle yeast on warm water; let it set for a few minutes then mix it. Stir to blend and put in a big bowl. Add milk, sugar, salt, Cardamom, eggs and just two cups of flour and beat it. add 3 more cups of flour and beat until smooth. Stir in melted butter. Add enough flour to dough; cover for 15 minutes.

2.) Turn out flour on a flour board and kneed it until it become like elasticity. Place in a greased bowl and then turn it over with the grease on top; cover with a damp towel and let it rise in 85 degrees temperature setting for about 2 hours, punching it down once or twice in between.

3.) Divide the three into three equal parts then braid it and let rise; about 20 minutes more. Brush with a mixture of egg white and water. Bake on cookie sheet at 375 degrees F. for 20 minutes.

4.) When done, frost.
