    oz beef top round steak

    tsp orange zest

  • ½

    cup orange juice

    tbsp cornstarch

  • 1

    tbsp soy sauce

  • 1

    tsp sugar

  • 1

    tsp instant beef bouillon granules

  • 2

    tbsp cooking oil

  • 4

    green onions, bias-sliced

  • 1

    clove garlic, minced

  • 5

    cups coarsely shredded fresh spinach

  • 1

    can sliced water chestnuts, drained

  • 1

    orange, peeled and chopped

  • cooked basmati rice


Thinly slice beef across the grain. Set aside. For sauce, in a small bowl stir together zest, orange juice, cornstarch, soy sauce, sugar, and bouillon. Set aside. In wok heat 1 tbsp oil over medium high. Add green onions and garlic; cook and stir in hot oil for 1 minute. Remove using a slotted spoon and set in a small bowl. Add remaining 1 tbsp oil and beef to wok. Cook and stir for 2-3 minutes. Push from center of wok to form a well. Stir sauce and add to center of wok. Stir until it begins to thicken. Return onion mixture to wok. Add spinach, orange pieces and water chestnuts. Stir all together to coat with sauce. Serve over hot rice.
