Crock Pot BBQ Country Style Pork Ribs

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs country-style pork ribs
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 2 cups chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup yellow mustard
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 Tbsp dark cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp worchestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1-14oz can diced tomatoes

Preparation

Step 1

1) Boil the ribs for 20 minutes to decrease fat. While the ribs are boiling mix all the other ingredients together in a large bowl and stir to mix well.

2) Put the ribs in the crock pot adding sauce as you go, until you get to about an inch from the top,

3) Use as much sauce as you can as it will be needed later to put over the rice.

4) Give the ribs and sauce a stir.

5) Turn on high and let cook for about 5 hours.

6) Serve with rice.
