Ingredients

  • 1/2

    cup butter or margerine, softened

  • 1/2

    cup shortening

  • 1-1/2

    cups sugar

  • 2

    eggs

  • 2-3/4

    cup flour

  • 2

    tsp cream of tarter

  • 1

    tsp soda

  • 1/4

    tsp salt

  • 2

    TBs sugar

  • 2

    tsp cinnamon

Directions

1. Mix thoroughly butter, shortning, 1-1/2 cup sugar and the eggs. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda dn salt. 2. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. 3. Mix 2 TBs sugar and cinnamon; roll balls in mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from baking sheet. Tips: For Christmas or other holidays, roll balls in colored sugar.
