Walla Walla Onion Casserole

Ingredients

  • 7 1/2 c chopped onions
  • 4 Tb butter
  • 1/2 c raw rice
  • 5 c boiling water
  • 3/4 c grated swiss cheese
  • 2/3 c half and half
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onions in butter. Cook rice in water 5 minutes. Drain rice. Mix with onions. Add cheese and Cream. Bake covered for 1 hour at 325 degrees.
