Ingredients
- 3/4 C rolled soda crackers
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 C chopped nuts (optional)
- 3 eggs whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Pinch of salt
- 1 C white sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together crackers, baking powder and nuts; set aside. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add vanilla and salt. Gradually add sugar. Fold cracker mixture into egg whites. Pour into well greased and floured pie pan. Bake 325° for 30 minutes. Let cool. Spread whipped cream or dream whip, whipped on top and sprinkle with nuts if desired. Chill in refrigerator at least 2 hours. The longer it stands the better it is.
