Ingredients
- 2-3 T olive oil
- 5-7 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 white onion (sm.-med. size)
- 1 1/4 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 2 large cans diced tomatoes
- 4 small cans tomato paste (24 oz. total)
- 2 T salt
- 2-3 T Italian seasoning
- 1/2 T pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 T oregano
Preparation
Step 1
Sauté garlic and onion in oil. Add beef and sausage. After meat is browned, add tomatoes, spices, salt and pepper. Simmer covered on very low heat stirring occasionally for about 1 hour. Freezes well.
