Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 lb. raisins
  • 1/2 c. bourbon
  • 1 lb. chopped pecan halves
  • 1/2 lb. diced candied pineapple
  • 1/2 - 3/4 lb. red & green candided cherries
  • Soak raisins overnight in bourbon.

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, gradually beat in sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour with baking soda and spices. Add to butter mixture. Add bourbon soaked raisins to butter mixture along with nuts and fruit. Drop from teaspoon onto buttered cookie sheets. Bake in 325 degree oven about 15 minutes. Store in airtight container. Can be frozen. These cookies are especially good with eggnog.
